How to Use This Calibration Sheet
This calibration sheet contains four independent reference geometry tests to verify that your printer driver is not shrinking or distorting your documents:
100.000 mm Horizontal Metric Rule
Measures exactly 100.0 mm (10.0 cm) from the outer edge of the left mark to the outer edge of the right mark. Features 10 mm major ticks and 1 mm minor ticks.
50.000 mm Vertical Metric Rule
Tests vertical paper-feed roller accuracy. If paper rollers slip or pull unevenly, vertical distances will deviate while horizontal distances remain correct.
2.000 Inch Imperial Reference Rule
Verifies imperial inch scaling with 1/16-inch, 1/8-inch, 1/4-inch, and 1/2-inch precision tick marks.
50 × 50 mm Verification Box with Diagonal
Tests both orthogonal squareness and aspect ratio distortion. The diagonal line should measure exactly 50 × √2 ≈ 70.71 mm.
Troubleshooting Calibration Discrepancies
| Measured Result | Probable Cause | Recommended Fix |

| 100 mm rule measures ~95–97 mm | Printer driver applied default “Fit to Printable Area” scaling (~96%). | Open print dialog, locate Scale, change from Default to 100% or Actual Size. |
| Horizontal is 100 mm, but Vertical is 49 mm | Paper feed roller tension or slight mechanical slippage during paper pull. | Clean paper rollers or test with heavier paper stock (e.g. 24 lb / 90 gsm bond). |
| Box diagonal is slightly off (e.g. 71.5 mm) | Non-uniform horizontal vs. vertical scaling (asymmetric driver scaling). | Ensure “Scale to Fit” is completely disabled in printer properties. |
